Galas are built around people and relationships. Throughout the reception, I photograph candid interactions between guests as well as quick posed portraits of attendees, sponsors, organizers and supporters.
The program is often where an event’s story unfolds. I photograph speakers, conversations, performances and audience engagement, balancing close-up moments with wider images that show the scale and atmosphere of the gathering.
